Monster of a TV

monsterplasma.jpg
Just when everybody thought the Plasma Display TV has begun to decline and was on the way to becoming old-tech, Panasonic, one of the world’s leading CE manufacturers comes out with a whopping 150” plasma TV which was showcased at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. With an impressive viewing area that is 11 feet by 6 feet wide, one can now have a true video wall installed to occupy one whole wall in your home. Then comes the question, why the hell get a TV that would have to be trucked into your home? And who would be crazy enough to buy a TV with a price that is just as immense? Well, the question of why would be summed up in the answer, “Because we could!” We humans have a knack of going beyond the norms of regular behavior in the quest to better everyone else. The question of who would be crazy enough to buy them, well there are a lot of crazy people out there who just happen to have tons upon tons of money and add to it the uncontrollable desire to get everything that no one else has might be the answer that question.

Another future tech for HD TV owners, the move to Wireless HD might be coming soon which would eliminate those expensive Fiber Optic and HDMI Cables that are for today the best ways of hooking up just about anything to your TV Set. Oled’s have also been showcased which might hold the key to the true successor of the Plasma Display which consumes huge amounts of power compared to LCD and LED displays.
