Minoru 3D Webcam

November 16, 2008 By jim

Ok first up, when I first saw the design I immediately whispered “Wal-e”. Doesn’t it grab you the same way too? Well aside from comments like “wierd”, “unorthodox” , “eh”… the Minoru 3D Webcam stands out as a class of its own.

Minoru is “real” in the Japanese language, and it is one way the developers are banking on as they offer to serve a different kind of “real” experience to video chatting. “Your friends and family can now see you in 3D over your favourite messaging program like Windows Live Messenger, Skype, AOL instant messenger, OoVoo and many others.” Err… hmmm… ok. Not sure about them wearing 3D glasses, but ok.

Information about this new gadget is little, but hey, this sure does seems like an innovative approach versus the usual webcams we all see.

The Minoru 3D webcam sees you in 3d and can make 3d movies and images of you. I bet ‘ya your friendster network will have loads of fun viewing you from different angles!
