Your personal hand warmer

October 24, 2008 By jim

Aevex announced this week that their Primo/Prima Volta and Red Savina gloves employ Aevex® Intelligent Heat™ technology.  This glove detects which part of your hand needs comfortable heat and applies it.  I think it’s a glove made with common sense,  I remember yesterday being so cold that my fingers were a little numb EVEN when I was wearing padded gloves.  I remember I had to turn up the car’s heat to the toast level just to get my hands “feeling” again.

These gloves are available here and here.   The Primo Volta for $259 while the Red Savina for $300. I am sure these gloves would be lifesavers, most specially for those who work and live under extremely cold environments and those who love extreme sports as well.  I know it’s a little steep, but you’d get what you pay for.  A working hand! 🙂

It works the heat up/down thru a thin layer of material that “senses” where there’s heat loss.  Heat is evenly distributed, where needed, along the hand.  Powered by very light batteries that can last 800 re-charges in its lifetime.  Spent battery (?) no problem, they are replaceable.
