This is the Amazon Kindle 2. While it looks a lot like its predecessor Kindle 1, there are a lot of feature upgrades Kindle 2 offers. One outstanding relief is that the new model will now be able to charge via USB instead of Kindle 1’s proprietary charger. It also appears that the status bar is gone and the joystick will replace the click wheel. A few adjustments to button placements too, as I’ve heard that some buttons are giving some users a hard time.
All together, it is probably one of the most useful electronic readers in the market. Backed up by Amazon.com’s e-book service of course. It makes the Kindle one of a kind… and like iTunes, very useful too. Up to now I haven’t heard of a release date nor a pricing for the Kindle 2. But I’m guessing sometime before the holidays? Oh Santa baby, you’ve got more stuff to pack in your sleigh this year!
It’s still retaining it’s color, by the way.
