Gone are the days when a prototype has to cost hundreds even thousands of dollars and in comes user configurable gadgets that do what the user wants when they want it. That is kind of the dilemma with today’s gizmos and gadgets for they all do their own specific tasks and they do it so well we tend to have several of them crammed into our pockets. A cellular phone here, a digital media player here, a palmtop there and so on and so forth. This has become too much of a hassle for many for they have a lot of gadgets and gizmos that with them comes tons of support stuff like interface cables, chargers and other necessities that without which these gadgets would cease to function sending us scrambling to the next stop to buy a disposable charger that can work but also bust the said device for it was not made to specs according to the requirements (generic chargers for example do charge them but some lack the necessary power sensing circuits that checks the battery for it’s status leading to overcharging and even burning the darned things)
Someday, we will have PDA’s that combine all the conveniences the several gadgets in your pocket perform. With the release of more powerful microprocessors the end is still far for the miniaturization and improvement of existing technologies that have so impacted and improved our lives these past few years. We will have the world truly at out fingertips with a gadget similar to this phone from Nokia, that can call your brother half way around the world, send a fax to your boss or client and all the other stuff we so enjoy today all packaged in one small gizmo that becomes who you are.
